Every once in a while technology in the climbing world does something besides reiterate other products currently in production, the Black Diamond Magnetron RockLock Carabiner broke the mold with this one. The Magnetron uses opposing magnetic arms in the gate this slide into the keylock nose and walk upon their introduction to the nose. This provides a secure locking mechanism they cannot be hindered or compromised by such things as sand, dirt, grit or whatever else people gunk up their screwlock carabiners with. The Black Diamond Rocklock Magnetron Carabiner is the largest locking carabiner available in their line and is excellent for belaying and repelling. This carabiner has a keylock design which will aide in not snagging on bolts or nylon it may be connected to while you hang 300 feet off the deck preparing for that beautiful descent back down to the ground. This carabiner can be Munter Hitched (added functionality). A solid and worthwhile choice for your next locking carabiner.
