PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

• The nose design on these carabiners helps them resist shearing forces and achieve high side loading strength ratings. Taperlock is an evolution of our Keylock design, which gives a clean internal profile that prevents snagging on gear, bolts and slings.
• I-Beam construction techniques allow carabiners to be lighter without compromising strength. This is achieved through hot forging, a process which allows metal to be made into complex shapes that improve functionality.
• The gate opening is the distance between the nose of a carabiner and the gate when it is fully opened. Larger gate openings make a carabiner easier to use while wearing gloves, and with thick ropes and slings. Internal volume refers to the area inside a carabiner, and large internal volumes mean easier attachment and removal of multiple devices, knots and slings.
• Captive bars ensure carabiners load along their strongest axis by securing their orientation, and can also be used to create tamper proof systems that cannot be dismantled by users.
